Peer-to-Peer Meetings
What is an Intersite sale?
Intersite sales...third party sales...co-op sales...these occur when your products are sold on another company's site or their products are sold on your site – and you earn money for each sale. They can consist of a cross-sell, a special bundle and a list exchange.
How do I benefit?
By serving as the host site, you add depth and breadth to your site merchandising. And you add value to your customers' online experiences. Not to mention, you gain incremental revenue from the sale of all products sold on your site.
By serving as a product provider, you expand the reach of your merchandise. You reach targeted audiences...sell more products...and gather more customer names – all while increasing your sales.
How does it work?
The biggest challenges in creating successful intersite sales opportunities are establishing relationships and defining offers. Digital River breaks down this barrier for you by providing numerous networking and deal-making opportunities at its Global Network Sales Summits.
Once you are registered for the Global Network Sales Summits, you will receive a packet of Information, including a promotion planning worksheet. Prior to the Summit, please fill out this worksheet and send it to your ADM. This is crucial in creating your unique agenda, setting up your peer-to-peer meetings and ensuring your valuable time is maximized at the Global Network Sales Summit.
To register, simply complete the registration page on this site. Tell us who will be attending from your company — and a little bit about your company and products. As the Summit approaches, you will be asked to use your passkey to log into the site and select your education sessions and peer-to-peer meeting requests.
How do I prepare for the peer-to-peer meetings?
Follow the Six Steps of Summit Success guide. As you may know, the Global Network Sales Summits happen at a fast pace. If you aren't prepared, you might miss opportunities. To ensure you have a successful Summit, we've put together tips to help you prepare for having effective and efficient peer-to-peer meetings.
Step One:
Gather and consolidate marketing material to share with other vendors. You have 20 minutes for each meeting. Make it easy for your peers to get to know your product and agree to a joint revenue promotion within the time allotted. Have business cards on hand to keep track of your new networking contacts.
Step Two:
Know your product launch plan and marketing calendar. This allows you to establish joint revenue promotions that enhance what you already have planned.

Step Three:
Know your pricing and margin limits. Know what customer discounts can be given on your products and what margin you are able to share so you can make the deal on the spot. Have offers that will entice other vendors to promote your products.
Step Four:
Prepare e-mail copy or templates. Come prepared with sample templates of e-mail copy that will help your peers visualize your product in an offer. In some meetings, this can be a deal-closer because it speeds up the implementation process for them. Here are a few tips to remember when producing third-party e-mail copy:
Word the copy as if a third party is promoting it;
Explain why the product is relevant to the sender’s customers;
Include a satisfaction guarantee logo or text;
Include a signature from the sender to show personal support.

Step Five:
Bring some copies of your software for other vendors to try. If they are comfortable with the product, they are more likely to promote it.
Step Six:
You will receive a copy of your peer-to-peer meeting schedule several days before the Summit. Take this time to review and familiarize yourself with your peers' Web sites before you meet with them.
